Inside India’s Naval Academy

With more than 58,000 personnel and a substantial operational fleet guarding many thousands of kilometres of coastline, India’s Navy is currently the seventh largest in the world. With exclusive access, this new hour goes Inside India’s Naval Academy (INA) in Ezhimala, Kerala, to witness the grueling training necessary to become an Indian Naval Officer.

Over the course of the programme we follow a number of key characters at different stages of their training. These include a female cadet, a midshipman who’s soon to pass out and a freshman constantly pushing himself to fit in and make the grade. Along the way we’ll learn more about the Academy and the work of the navy itself.
